Lauren Mackersy - Founder
Hi! I’ve lived in beautiful Dunedin for over 20 years with my husband, two daughters, our dog, and a menagerie of farm animals. I love the outdoors—biking, hiking, and running are my passions. I’m also active in the motorsport world, competing both in my own rally car and as a co-driver for my husband.
I thrive on challenges. Having previously owned a successful catering company for six years and a home renovation business for the past eight, I’m now excited to embark on my next project. The Gift Smith combines everything I love: working with creative and inspiring people and creating meaningful connections.
Hayley Harris - Culinary Wing Woman
Kia ora! I’m lucky enough to call the beautiful peninsula home, where I live with my two Tamariki. I’ve spent my whole working life as a chef - creating, tasting, and sharing food that brings people together.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me out fishing, enjoying the outdoors, or getting creative with mahi toi. I’m passionate about all things flavour and am so happy to be working at both Gift Smith and Honest, creating a range of delicious condiments.
